More than two out of three people worldwide tuned in for the Beijing Olympics.
Nielsen Media Research says 4.7 billion viewers globally saw at least some of the 17 days of TV coverage last month. This audience was one-fifth larger than the 3.9 billion who watched the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Host nation China claimed more viewers than any other nation, Nielsen said Friday, logging an audience reach of 94 percent among its population of 1.3 billion.
In the U.S., where NBC and several sister networks aired extensive coverage, the 2008 Olympics took the record as the most-viewed event in American television history.
On an artistic level, you need imaginative and creative new ideas to generate. Without a real ability to visualize, draw and paint in two dimensions, you are not in a position to innovation, which focuses on the invigorating force of fashion design. The same can be said for color sense and the many practical skills, in a fashion designer.
To a fashion designer, is ready, as part of a team. You need to enjoy group activities and detect only a part of a larger picture, draws from the input of many players. This requires a friendly, calm temperament, patience, humor and sometimes a little humility.

Effective communication skills are a must. If you can not explain, listen, negotiate or delegate battle. The other is organizational skills - unless you plan and coordinate simply not ready on time jobs. Part of it comes from being able to make quick decisions and take responsibility for those decisions.

Let’s get one thing straight - as a fashion designer, you need to have an enormous range of abilities and personal qualities. Be honest with it self, assess the extent to which you have these skills and qualities otherwise you finally run into obstacles in your attempt to be fashion designer.
First and foremost need talent. This includes a wide range of skills, including drawing, sewing, research, vision and creativity. Without a high level of natural talent you can never be a fashion designer.

There could not be a fashion articles written about what’s hot for 2008 without giving jeans. Designer denim is still the hottest thing around. We all know that True Religion, Citizens of Humanity, Buffalo, Seven for all mankind and Lucky standard has become almost run-of-the-designer jeans. What about shoes, you ask? Pointy-toe pumps are back! Not that they ever really went out of fashion, but it certainly came on the second flip-flop, the ballet slippers, and other such cutesy flat shoes, together with the rounded toe pump. You probably can not remember who said, but who first expressed that the circle fashion every 30 years or so was not too far away. In this season on the runway, reminds us of the 70s flowing in both substance and style. We see much more of the long skirt, and much less of the micro-mini. Materials such as silk and chiffon, which tend to flow and collect are far more popular than those for spring 2008 fabrics such as cotton or denim which usually keep the form and stiffer stay in appearance.
